- $200.00 - Member
- $225.00 - Non-Member
Let's capture the feeling of our beautiful landscape during this two-day workshop. With sketches and photo references, learn to paint the landscape from memory. Demonstrations on technique and color will be made in oil and all supplies will be provided for that medium. Oils are preferred but students may paint in acrylic as well. This is a relaxed, fun workshop, so if you are a beginner this is a great chance to try oil.
This class meets in the Owl Hall on the main level of the Education Wing.
All students should have some sketches of a landscape or a few photos to use as reference.
Oil students- Please bring a palette, brushes, pencil and sketch pad. All other supplies will be provided.
Acrylic students-Please bring a palette, paints, brushes, pencil and sketch pad. The instructor will supply canvas only.
RUTH "ODILE" DAVIS
In fourth grade, on her way to art class, Ruth Davis looked at her paint box and said,” yes, I’m an artist.” It was at that moment when she decided that if Picasso could use one name she would as well. She would sign Odile, her middle name. After studying art education, Odile went instead into the field of design. Working in display, advertising and needlework, she eventually designed clothing. She travels extensively throughout Europe and the America’s studying with fine arts most established
instructors. Self employed for over thirty years, Odile has produced her line of clothing and exhibited her artwork in juried art shows in the northeast and Midwest.
