This class will teach you to create collages digitally using Photoshop, all levels are welcome. As a beginner you will gain skills and confidence to accomplish something as simple as putting together a seamless montage of family for posterity or gift giving. For the intermediate student, we will explore creating dynamic graphic assemblages, enhance original photographs, and create complex works of fine art. All levels welcome, including those who claim ignorance of the most simple apps, and also for those who wish to expand their facility with Photoshop.
This class meets in the Photography & Digital Arts Studio on the lower level of the Education Wing.
Please bring a USB drive, and note taking materials.
Nathan Olin is a painter who teaches and lives on Cape Cod. His work has been shown at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM), the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Falmouth Arts Center, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, School House Gallery, Cove Gallery, the Creative Hands Gallery, and the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. In 2020, upcoming exhibits include Highfield Hall, as well. He won the Jurors Choice Award from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod in 2018, and in 2019 he was the first creative arts teacher to be awarded the Schieffelin Bowl for his contributions and excellence in teaching. Before moving to the Cape, Nathan lived and painted in NYC, where he had numerous solo exhibits and group shows in the East Village and SoHo.
