Description

Throw! Throw! Throw! This class will cover the key fundamentals for beginners in throwing, fostering the growth of each individual student’s progress while encouraging creative thinking. The wheel takes a lot of time, practice, and patience to learn and can be very challenging while at the same time soothing and relaxing--a great way to deal with Covid. It will help increase focus and improve problem-solving skills. A great way to cope with school! This class is especially for newbies. 

This class meets in the Pottery Studio on the lower level of the Education Wing.

MATERIALS
All tools, materials, and firings are included.

DAVID M. CRAVENHO    
David M. Cravenho is an artist currently working on Cape Cod. His visual art has appeared at Berta Walker Gallery in Provincetown. He received a B.F.A. from UMass Dartmouth (formerly SMU), an M.F.A. from Rochester Institute of Technology, and an M.S.A.E. from Massachusetts College of Art. He has attended Alfred University’s summer graduate program and workshops at
Anderson Ranch Arts Center and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. The recipient of Artist in Residencies from the Banff School of Fine Arts, Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts, and the Archie Bray Foundation, among others, he has taught for the University of Georgia in Cortona, Italy, and for Massachusetts College of Art.
