Open House for "Luminosity," a National Juried Exhibit
On exhibit through February 27 in the Blue Room, Vault, and Constantinidis Great Hall, "Luminosity" is a national juried exhibition featuring work in which light is an important influence and element. Image, left, by Robert Mullinex.
Also on exhibit through February 27, in the Saben Board Room Gallery, “Cape Cod Pandemic Heroes” is a collection of oil portraits by Patty Barnes depicting local Cape Codders who have continued to work in the midst of the pandemic. Patty writes, "The work is my way to honor these selfless individuals. The paintings include a policeman, a housekeeper at Cape Cod Hospital, a clerk at an area drug store, a dental hygienist, and members of a local radio station. Although their jobs are varied, their courage is not. These are true Cape Cod heroes. It was a privilege to paint them."
And, continuing in the Education Wing, the "Anything Goes" Exhibition, responses to an international call for entries with an open theme. It features work in several media from across the country. "Anything Goes" will also run through February 27.
There is no admission fee to the exhibits or the open house.
CDC protocols including social distancing and mask usage will be observed. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5pm.
