It may still be cold outside, but getting ready for spring warms the heart and the hands … and lays the groundwork (literally) for a great garden. This presentation by master gardener Priscilla Husband is the latest in a series of condensed and comprehensive conversations on all aspects of landscape gardening. Topics will include planting, pruning, design, and maintenance: everything the aspiring gardener needs to hit the ground running.
This lecture meets in the Owl Hall on the main level of the Education Wing.
Please bring a notebook and pen to take notes.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO MAKING YOUR CLASS SAFE
The safety of our students, teachers, patrons, volunteers, and staff is our highest priority. A number of adjustments have been put in place to keep everyone safe for in-person classes at the Cultural Center. We are disinfecting public spaces frequently and have installed hand sanitizer stations throughout the building. To ensure the safety of those around you, please wear a mask, practice social distancing, and in other ways follow CDC guidelines while at the Cultural Center. Thank you!
My 35 years of landscape gardening on Cape Cod has revealed to me all the gardens that are possible. My local landscape gardening business has introduced me to all aspects of gardening. Installing and maintaining gardens throughout the years has been my teacher. Finding a balance between our desired gardens and successful gardens is the result. Everyday I learn and share with my clients and friends. As a Master Gardener graduate from the Cape Cod Extension program I have access to regional information that applies to the Cape. My love of gardening and my enthusiasm motivates me to help others acheive their goals in the natural space we all love here on Cape Cod.
I was born on the Cape and balance my time between here in the growing season and a small island in Panama during the winter months. My family has lived on the Cape for over 60 years. My daughter grew up in Dennis and my parents are buried across the street in the South Dennis "Sea Captains" Cemetery.
